Roxy and Lola, the Charismatic Pekingese Pups in New Bedford

On the morning of July 4th, I had the opportunity to visit Roxy, Lola, and mom Samia at their beautiful, historic New Bedford home. These two little firecrackers have no need for Independence Day shenanigans, they bring their own dynamite to the party!

It was so much fun watching them tumble around in the yard like Tasmanian devils. While Samia lovingly describes them both as “a hot mess”, it’s clear how much joy she and her family receive from watching them interact with each other. Who needs TV when you live with a couple of energetic, roly-poly pups?

Samia wanted photos of Roxy and Lola because her daughter, who is about a year and a half old, absolutely adores them. Now, she will have these special keepsakes to look back on for the rest of her life to remind her of her first pets—and of her mother’s playful sense of humor!

Roxy is definitely the more rambunctious of the two, but her curiosity afforded us a few brief moments of stillness together!
